Duties of muslims to his/her neighbour

The virtue of being kind to one's neighbors in islam. A neighbors in Islam is the person who lives near one, regardless of whether he is a muslims or a non muslims

Islam considers the rights of the neighbors to be extremely important. The angel Jibril continue to urge prophet muhammed(PBUH) to treat neighbors with kindness to the extent that he thought Allah would order him to make his neighbors have a share of his properties.

Islam encourages muslims to treat their neighbors in a gentle way that reflects the true and genuine sprit of Islam. It makes on difference whether the neighbors are muslim or non. Aisha, the mother of believers (may Allah be pleased with her) stated that she once asked the prophet (PBUH), O messenger of Allah, i have two neighbors, to whom shall i send my gifts? He said to the one whose gate is nearer to your regardless of his or her faith.

In the Glorious Quran 4:36 Allah Almighty said '' Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbors, the neighbors farther away, the companion at your side... If you noticed from this verse Allah did not said to only muslims.

Look at how the prophet, wanted us to be good to our neighbors and to honour them When He said ''... And whoever believes in Allah and the last Day should serve gir neighbors generously'' also
Prophet Muhammed was once reported to have said ''by the one in whose Hands my soul is, no plate of Allah has true faith unless he likes for His neighbors what he likes for himself''

Still on prophet's hadiths ''the best companion in the sight of Allah is the one who is the best to his companion, the best neighbors in the sight of Allah is the one who is the best to his neighbors.

We as a true muslim owe our neighbors the following rights.

(1) Returning his greetings and accept invitations

(2) Do not harm your neighbors. Prophet Muhammed said by Allah is not a believer contineously three times and the companions asked who is not a believer? And He replied ''one whose neighbors does not feel safe from his evil''
either muslims or non

(3) It's your right as to sympathise with your neighbors when evil befall them.

(4) Help them with their needs if you are capable. The messenger once said '' HE who spends the night satisfactorily while knowing that his next door neighbor is hungry does not truely believe in me.

These are some of the order from the Quran and teachings of prophet Muhammed regarding our neighbors either muslims or non muslims...
